Description: DIRECT SHEAR APPARATUS 

Direct Shear Apparatus is Multiple reversal type, motorized with 12 speeds, As per IS : 2720 (P-XIII).

The apparatus comprises of Loading Unit : Supplied with loading  yoke with direct and lever system for applying load. Normal stress capacity 8kg/sq.cm. Load is applied either directly or through a counter balanced detachable lever. The loading unit is provided with V strips and roller strips for frictionless movement of shear box housing.

Shear Box Assembly : Comprising Direct Shear Box in two halves for a square specimen size 60 x 60 x 25 mm, one pair gripper plates, one pair of perforated shear box housing

Accommodates the direct shear box assembly.

Specimen Cutter :For cutting 60x60x25 mm specimen from larger samples. Electrically operated 230V AC single phase, to give the

following 12 rates of strains. 1.25, 0.625,0.25, 0.125, 0.05,0.025, 0.01, 0.005, 0,002, 0.001, 0.0004 and 0.0002mm/min. Without dial gauge and proving Ring.

Dial gauge 0.01 mm X 25 mm travel

High sensitivity Proving Ring 200kg fitted with 0.002 mm dial

gauge with our calibration certificate in a case.
