APPLICATION: THE APPARATUS IS USED TO TEST THE RUST PREVENTION ABILITIES OF STEAM TURBINE OILS WHEN MIXED WITH WATER.INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION AND CONSTRUCTION :
WATER BATH :
Inner of SS 304 with outer of Lt. Grey powder coated CR sheet, with microprocesor based pid temperature controller, motorised stirrer (TEFC motor) and SS heaters to maintain a uniform temperature.Supplied with a Bath cover with provision to hold 4 nos. of test beakers.
Temp. Range : Amb. To 70 C Accuracy: + 0.2 C Resolution : 0.1 C
Supplied with Manufacturer’s calibration certificate traceable to NPL
TEST SYSTEM :Constructed to perform 2 simaltenous tests with duplicates. Supplied with 4 nos test specimens, glass beakers with PTFE covers to hold the specimen. The 4 SS stirrers held by chucks are driven by a geared single speed TEFC motor of 1000 + 50 RPM.The complete system is housed within a sturdy steel frame, elegantly powder coated The Mdrive motor and the gear assembly is housed on the top.
