Concrete is a man-made material, essentially mixed at site. The properties of concrete depend on the properties of its ingredients and their proportion and it is likely to vary from mix to mix. Tests must be conducted, therefore, to ensure that the concrete used is in accordance with design specifications. A frequent test, is the test of compressive strength, in which concrete samples are tested to failure. “TIC” Series Compression Testing Machines are the finest of their types available. Rugged construction and extreme simplicity makes it possible for even non- technical personnel to operate them with ease and complete dependability. Loading Unit :- The upper platen has got a selfaligning action and is attached to a screw which

passes thru the cross -head plate, and can be raised or lowered for initial clearance adjustment. The lower platen rests on the jackram.

Pumping Unit :- The motorized pumping unit , is housed in an elegant console, and is driven by a single phase 220/440 Volts 50 cycles electric motor. A max red pointer is provided to facilitate taking readings after failure of the specimen. The pressure Gauge is fixed at an angle for easy readability. The Machine is Equipped with Facilities for Hand Pumping in Case of Power Failure.
